This is a Micro USB or Battery Powered unit that does not have built in GPS, but can use your Phone GPS to determine location.
Pressing the Top Program Button scrolls you through all of the Meshtastic Screens.
Pressing the Bottom Reset Button resets the Heltec Module.
There is a ON/OFF slide switch on the back of the unit.
Programmed with firmware 1.2.65 to be used with Android Phone App version 1.2.67, iPhone App 1.2.53.
Just what is Meshtastic?
Meshtastic is an Open Source “Off Grid” secure text communication program that uses your cell phone and LoRa Radios. So, for example if you are hiking, camping or biking in areas without Cell Coverage you will be able to keep in touch with your group and know their location. Also great for emergency communications in the event of a natural disaster such as a hurricane, tornado or even a cyber attack.
